Prepare for a sophisticated evening at Noche de Gala this Saturday, August 8, 2026, where we invite you to wear your most elegant attire for a refined celebration of Argentine tango. This special gala night at Underground Milonga is dedicated to the glamour and grace of the dance, offering a beautiful opportunity to dress up and enjoy the magic of the ballroom in style.
DJ MJ will be at the booth, curated specifically for this elegant occasion. The music will feature traditional tandas and cortinas, following the classic codes of the milonga including the cabeceo. You will find a warm and respectful atmosphere on our character-filled hardwood floor, where the connection between dancers remains the heart of the evening.
Your hosts Mirek and Jenya welcome everyone to the Ballroom of Sarasota, a space that has been a home for tango every Saturday since 2020. Whether you are a local regular or an out of town visitor looking for a world class experience, you will find a friendly community waiting for you. We provide courtesy hors d'oeuvres and beverages to keep you energized throughout the festivities.
Beginners are always welcome and no partner is ever required to join the fun. We start with a beginner class at 7 PM to help you feel confident before the social dancing begins from 8 PM to midnight. We look forward to seeing you in your finest gala attire for an unforgettable night of music and embrace.
