Transport yourself to a bygone era of elegance this Saturday, August 15, 2026, for an evening of Vintage Glamour at Underground Milonga. We invite you to channel the classic sophistication of the golden age with our light dress suggestion of vintage attire. Whether you choose to wear lace, a waistcoat, or simply your favorite timeless look, this night is dedicated to the old-world charm and grace that makes Argentine tango so uniquely beautiful.
The atmosphere will be set by DJ MJ, who is returning to the booth to spin a curated selection of traditional tango music. Every tanda is played with the intention of keeping you on our hardwood floor, and we strictly observe the traditional codes of the cabeceo and cortinas. This focus on tradition ensures a respectful and fluid flow for everyone in the room, from our longtime local regulars to visitors traveling through Sarasota.
Hosted warmly by Mirek and Jenya under the Lifetime Tango brand, our milonga has been a Saturday staple at The Ballroom of Sarasota since 2020. We take pride in our welcoming community where no partner is ever needed to join the fun. Between dances, please enjoy our courtesy hors d'oeuvres and beverages while catching up with friends old and new. We always look forward to welcoming out of town guests to experience our unique floor with character.
