Celebrate a striking evening of tango at our All in White night this Saturday, August 22, 2026, where we invite you to dress in your favorite white attire to create a beautiful, luminous atmosphere on the dance floor. This special theme brings a unique visual elegance to our weekly gathering, making every embrace feel a bit more magical under the lights. Whether you are a regular or a first time guest, the sight of a room full of dancers in white is truly something to behold.
Our resident DJ MJ will be at the booth, curating a selection of traditional tango music that honors the heritage of the dance. We follow the classic codes of the milonga, including the use of cabeceo for invitations and the structure of tandas and cortinas. This ensures a respectful and flowing floor for everyone to enjoy. Between dances, please help yourself to our courtesy hors d'oeuvres and beverages as you catch up with friends.
The Underground Milonga has been a Saturday tradition since 2020, held at The Ballroom of Sarasota on Swift Road. Your hosts, Mirek and Jenya, take pride in maintaining a warm and inclusive environment on our character filled hardwood floor. We often host world class maestros throughout the year, but the heart of our community is the weekly social connection that brings us all together.
