Bathe in the soft, luminous glow of Tango Under the Lights this Saturday, September 12, as we transform the floor into a relaxed and atmospheric sanctuary for dance. This special evening at Underground Milonga is designed to highlight the intimate connection of the embrace within a warm, ambient setting. Whether you are a local regular or a visitor to Sarasota, we invite you to enjoy a night where the music and the lighting create a truly magical experience.
Our resident DJ MJ will be at the booth, curating a beautiful selection of traditional tango music. We honor the classic spirit of the dance by following the traditional codes of the cabeceo, tandas, and cortinas. This structure ensures a respectful and harmonious flow on our historic hardwood floor, which has been the heart of our community every Saturday night since 2020.
Hosts Mirek and Jenya welcome everyone under the Lifetime Tango brand, providing a space where both seasoned milongueros and newcomers feel at home. You do not need a partner to join us, and out of town guests are always a welcome addition to our vibrant circle. Between dances, you can enjoy courtesy hors d'oeuvres and beverages while catching up with friends in the comfortable atmosphere of The Ballroom of Sarasota.
The evening begins with a beginner class at 7 PM, followed by social dancing from 8 PM to midnight. We look forward to seeing you on the floor for this luminous night of tango on Swift Road.
