This special gala night is a celebration of grace and style, transforming our weekly gathering into a formal affair that honors the beauty of the dance. Whether you are stepping out in your finest suit or a shimmering dress, the atmosphere will be one of refined magic and community spirit.
DJ MJ returns to the booth to curate a beautiful selection of traditional tango music. The evening follows the classic codes of the milonga, including the use of the cabeceo for invitations and the rhythmic flow of tandas and cortinas. You will find our hardwood floor, which carries the wonderful character of years of dancing, to be the perfect setting for every embrace. Between sets, please enjoy the courtesy hors d'oeuvres and beverages provided for all our guests.
Mirek and Jenya of Lifetime Tango have been hosting this weekly social since 2020, ensuring a warm and inclusive environment for everyone. We take great pride in welcoming visitors from out of town and dancers of all levels. There is no partner required to join us, as our community thrives on the connection between new and familiar faces alike. Throughout the year, we are also honored to host world class maestros for workshops, adding to the rich culture of our Sarasota tango home.
