Lifetime Tango.

Lifetime Tango is the organizer behind Underground Milonga, the weekly Saturday-night milonga at The Ballroom of Sarasota. The organization began in 2021, a year after the milonga itself, to grow Sarasota’s tango community with intent.

Throughout the year, Lifetime Tango partners with visiting world-class maestros for workshops and performances, and collaborates with a curated rotation of DJs and teachers. The work is the same as the dance: welcoming, traditional, inclusive of beginners and out-of-town visitors alike.

Underground Milonga

Underground Milonga is the weekly Saturday-night milonga hosted by Lifetime Tango at The Ballroom of Sarasota. It began in July 2020, nearly 300 nights to date.

Each evening opens with a beginner class at 7 PM, then the floor turns to traditional tango from 8 PM through midnight. Throughout the year, special nights bring visiting world-class maestros for workshops and performances. Traditional codes. Curated DJ list. No partner needed.
